The Monstrous Nightmare can be purchased from the shop for 50 Runes.

A Monstrous Nightmare Egg can be found when searching the following locations:

Lava-Lout Island for 1m

Unlandable Cove for 30m

Dragon's Nest for 1h

If a Monstrous Nightmare Egg is in an extra bag that the player chose not to purchase when searching with Toothless, the egg can be purcahsed for 30 Runes at this time only.
