Decorations were introduced in December 2017.
Depending on the particular Statue/Decoration they can:

Boost the gathering rate of a Dragon species (depending on the specificly named statue).
Release special powers.
Generate resources over time.
Some Decorations (such as Seasonal Decorations) contain no special powers at all.

Statues, (including Seasonal Statues), can be purchased from the market with Polished Amber .
Polished Amber can be obtained by trading in Raw Amber at Eret's Boat.

If a player decides to destroy(remove) a purchased Decoration, Raw Amber will be received.
The amount of Raw Amber given is determined at which level the Decoration/Statue is when it's destroyed. (See Tables below).
If the Statue is still in construction and hasn't been built yet, destroying it will result in a full refund of the spent Polished Amber .

Seasonal Decorations were introduced in February 2020.
They are used enhance Berk's landscape and contain no special powers.

Seasonal Decorations can be purchased from the market with Freya’s Flowers Seasonal Currency.

Collect Freya’s Flowers from Gobber's Duties, Gauntlet Events and the Monthly Event Calendar
Seasonal Decorations and other Rewards are limited and will not be available after the season ends.

Note:

There is no limit to the amount of Statues/Decorations allowed on Berk.
If not mentioned otherwise, all Statues have a dimension of (3x3)
